Through Feb. 11 Death by Chocolate presented by Garland Civic Theatre investigates the murders of guests of the newly renovated Meadowbrook Health Resort who are dropping like flies from poisoned chocolate delights - not the best advertisement for the eve of the resort's grand reopening! Feb. 24-26 Ben Stevenson's Dracula by the Texas Ballet Theater at the Bass Performance Hall is set to the haunting music of Franz Liszt. The story opens in the dank crypt of Dracula's castle with a corps de ballet comprised of Dracula's 18 brides. The scene moves to festivities in the picturesque village, overshadowed by the Count on the hunt. Ensnaring his latest victim in his vast, bat-shaped cloak, he carries her away in frenzied coach ride, careening toward the castle gate. But this time, the count tangles with the wrong woman.
